SafeSport
Fraser Valley Hockey Association is committed to improving the development, safety and welfare of its players and all members involved in hockey and our organization. Therefore, it supports the USA Hockey SafeSport Program and CAHA SafeSport Program and requires all players, coaches and members to fully participate.
The SafeSport program exists to protect participants from abuse in sport, including bullying, harassment, hazing, physical abuse, emotional abuse, and sexual misconduct and abuse. The SafeSport Authorization Act of 2017 requires adoption of policies, procedures, and requirements by all national governing bodies recognized by the United States Olympic Committee and created the U.S. Center for SafeSport. As the national governing body for ice hockey in the United States, USA Hockey has adopted these policies, procedures, and requirements with updates to the SafeSport Program Handbook in June 2020.
If a concern arises involving hazing, bullying, threats, harassment, emotional/physical/sexual abuse, it needs to be reported directly to SafeSport. The SafeSport Incident Report should be emailed directly to Abby. If there is an immediate concern, contact Fraser's SafeSport Coordinator directly using the contact card below.
